Account Agreements

These Account Agreements govern the terms and conditions of your relationship with Fidelock and the use of our comprehensive financial management platform. By creating and maintaining an account with us, you agree to be bound by these agreements.

1. Account Opening and Eligibility

To open a Fidelock account, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be at least 14 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
  • Provide accurate and complete identification and contact information
  • Have a valid email address and phone number
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not be subject to any financial sanctions or restrictions

We reserve the right to verify your identity and may request additional documentation as part of our account opening procedures.

2. Account Types and Features

Fidelock offers account tiers designed to meet different financial management needs:

  • Free Tier: Basic financial management functionality
  • Paid Tier: Enhanced features and expanded capabilities
  • Service Levels: Different tiers offer different levels of functionality and support

Each account type has specific features, limitations, and fee structures as outlined in our current fee schedule, which may be updated from time to time.

3. Account Security and Access

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account:

  • Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
  • Enable two-factor authentication when available
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspicious activity
  • Use strong, unique passwords for your account
  • Log out of your account when using shared or public computers

You are liable for all activities that occur under your account until you notify us of unauthorized access and we have had a reasonable opportunity to act on that notification.

4. Financial Data and Account Linking

Our services may include the ability to link external financial accounts:

  • You authorize us to access account information from linked institutions
  • We use read-only access and cannot initiate transactions on your behalf
  • You can revoke access to linked accounts at any time
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of data provided by third-party institutions
  • Linked account data is subject to our Privacy Policy

5. Fees and Charges

Our current fee structure is as follows:

  • Basic accounts may be offered at no cost with limited features
  • Premium services are subject to monthly or annual subscription fees
  • Additional charges may apply for premium features or services
  • Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

We will provide 30 days' notice of any fee changes. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new fee structure.

6. Service Availability

While we strive to provide continuous service availability:

  • Services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or updates
  • We do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted access
  • Service availability may be affected by third-party providers
  • We will provide notice of planned maintenance when reasonably possible

7. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account in the following circumstances:

  • Violation of these terms or our policies
  • Suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Non-payment of applicable fees
  • Extended period of account inactivity
  • At our discretion with reasonable notice

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team. Upon termination, you remain liable for all charges incurred up to the termination date.

8. Data Backup and Recovery

While we maintain regular data backups:

  • We encourage you to maintain your own records and backups
  • We cannot guarantee complete data recovery in all circumstances
  • Historical data availability may vary by account type
  • Data export features are available through your account settings

9. Communication and Updates

By maintaining an account with us, you consent to receive:

  • Service-related notifications and account updates
  • Security alerts and important policy changes
  • Billing statements and payment confirmations
  • Product updates and feature announcements (optional)

You can manage your communication preferences through your account settings.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party financial data
  • You acknowledge that financial decisions remain your responsibility

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute:

  • We encourage you to contact our support team first
  • We will make good faith efforts to resolve issues promptly
  • Disputes may be subject to binding arbitration as permitted by law
  • Class action waivers may apply where legally enforceable

12. Changes to This Agreement

We may modify these Account Agreements from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through your registered email address or account notifications. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
