Fidelock is a comprehensive financial management platform designed to help individuals and businesses organize their finances across multiple devices and platforms. We provide secure financial tracking, analytics, account management, and business intelligence tools through our unified platform. By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance and Scope of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of Fidelock's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all users, including individuals, businesses, and organizations. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use our services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at our sole discretion.
2. Description of Services

Fidelock provides a comprehensive suite of financial management tools and services designed for individuals and businesses:
Personal Finance Management
Transaction tracking, expense categorization, budget monitoring, multi-account synchronization, financial insights and analytics, recurring transaction management, and secure data storage.
Business Finance Tools
Multi-ledger architecture for business organization, expense management for teams, financial reporting and analytics, compliance-ready data export, and business intelligence dashboards.
Core Platform Capabilities
• Multi-platform access (mobile, web, and future platforms) • End-to-end encrypted data synchronization • Real-time financial analytics and insights • Automated transaction categorization and duplicate detection • Customizable financial categories and budgets • Secure authentication and data protection • Professional-grade financial reporting • Import/export functionality for data portability

3. Account Registration and Eligibility
To use Fidelock, you must:
- (a)Be at least 14 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- (b)Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- (c)Maintain the security of your account credentials
- (d)Be legally capable of entering into binding contracts
- (e)Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable law or previously suspended/terminated by us
- (f)Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access or security breach.
4. User Responsibilities and Account Security
As a Fidelock user, you are responsible for:
- (a)Maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials
- (b)All activities that occur under your account
- (c)Providing accurate and up-to-date account information
- (d)Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
- (e)Using our services only for legitimate financial management purposes
- (f)Not sharing your account with others
- (g)Immediately reporting any unauthorized access or security concerns
- (h)Ensuring your use complies with your employer's policies (if applicable)
- (i)Backing up your important financial data
- (j)Understanding that we are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account access due to your failure to maintain security
5. Data Ownership, Privacy, and Security
Your financial data remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your financial information. However, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data to provide our services. We implement enterprise-grade security measures including AES-256 encryption, secure authentication protocols, and privacy-preserving data handling. Our data practices are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these terms. We may aggregate and anonymize user data for service improvement, but will never sell your personal financial information. You are responsible for maintaining backups of important data and understanding the inherent risks of electronic data storage and transmission.
6. Subscription Services and Billing
Service Tiers and Payment Terms
Fidelock offers multiple service tiers to accommodate different user needs: FREE TIER: Essential financial management capabilities with standard features and community-based support resources. PAID TIER(S): Enhanced functionality, expanded service capabilities, priority support, advanced features, and additional tools as detailed in our current feature specifications. BILLING TERMS: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party processors. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all applicable fees. Failure to pay may result in service suspension or termination. Specific features and capabilities for each tier are subject to change and are detailed in our current service documentation.
7. Fees, Payments, and Refunds
Our current fee structure includes free basic services and paid Professional subscriptions. All fees are clearly displayed before purchase and are charged in advance. Payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors. You are responsible for all taxes related to your use of our services. REFUND POLICY: We generally do not provide refunds for subscription fees, except where required by applicable law or in cases of our service failure. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment. AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: Professional subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage your subscription through your account settings. PRICE CHANGES: We may modify subscription pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice to existing subscribers.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
The Fidelock platform, including all software, designs, text, graphics, interfaces, and underlying technology, is owned by Fidelock and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our services for your personal or business financial management. You may not:
- (a)Copy, modify, or create derivative works of our platform
- (b)Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- (c)Use our trademarks or branding without permission
- (d)Remove or alter any proprietary notices
- (e)Use our services to develop competing products
You retain ownership of your financial data and content you upload, but grant us necessary licenses to provide our services. Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without compensation or attribution.
9. Prohibited Conduct and Acceptable Use
When using our services, you may not:
- (a)Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- (b)Use our services for illegal activities, fraud, or money laundering
- (c)Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- (d)Interfere with or disrupt our services or servers
- (e)Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- (f)Impersonate others or provide false information
- (g)Sell, transfer, or sublicense your account
- (h)Use automated scripts or bots without permission
- (i)Attempt to circumvent security measures or usage restrictions
- (j)Use our services in ways that could damage our reputation or business
- (k)Export data for competitive purposes
- (l)Violate our Privacy Policy or other posted policies
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
10. Service Availability and Modifications
We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Our services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to:
- (a)Modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services
- (b)Update our platform and features
- (c)Change system requirements or supported platforms
- (d)Implement usage limits or restrictions
- (e)Remove or modify features with reasonable notice when possible
We will provide advance notice of significant changes when feasible. No refunds will be provided for temporary service interruptions or feature modifications. BETA FEATURES: Some features may be offered in beta or experimental form and may not function as expected.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
IMPORTANT LEGAL DISCLAIMERS: Our services are provided 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fidelock shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Fidelock, our officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to:
- (a)Your use or misuse of our services
- (b)Your violation of these terms or applicable laws
- (c)Your content or data that infringes third-party rights
This indemnification obligation survives termination of these terms and your use of our services.
13. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be communicated through:
- (a)Email notification to your registered address
- (b)In-app notifications
- (c)Updates to our website with prominent notice
Changes become effective 30 days after notification unless you object by discontinuing use of our services. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically. For significant changes affecting your rights, we may require additional consent.
14. Account Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time.
YOU MAY TERMINATE by:
- (a)Closing your account through your account settings
- (b)Discontinuing use of our services
- (c)Contacting our support team
WE MAY TERMINATE OR SUSPEND your account:
- (a)For violation of these terms
- (b)For suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
- (c)For non-payment of fees
- (d)For extended inactivity
- (e)At our discretion with reasonable notice for non-violating accounts
EFFECT OF TERMINATION:
Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately. We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period, subject to our Privacy Policy and legal requirements. You remain liable for all charges incurred before termination. Provisions regarding liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.
15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
GOVERNING LAW: These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Fidelock is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. DISPUTE RESOLUTION: We encourage resolving disputes through direct communication with our support team. If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration association in our jurisdiction. CLASS ACTION WAIVER: To the extent permitted by law, you waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration against us. EXCEPTIONS: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations or urgent matters requiring immediate attention. TIME LIMIT: Any claims must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or be forever barred.
16. General Provisions
ENTIRE AGREEMENT: These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fidelock. SEVERABILITY: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of these terms remains in effect. ASSIGNMENT: We may assign these terms or our rights and obligations without notice. You may not assign your rights without our written consent. NO WAIVER: Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later. FORCE MAJEURE: We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. SURVIVAL: Provisions regarding liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and dispute resolution survive termination.
